Our Founder
Professor Dr. Allama Muhammad Bilal is an Islamic scholar, researcher, educator, preacher and spiritual mentor from Pakistan, and the founder of Al-Irshad Islamic Institute.
He established the institute to bring together the things he had spent his career on separately: rigorous Islamic scholarship, the patient work of teaching children and young people, and direct service to families in need. The institute’s programmes — Quran and Islamic studies, youth development, women’s education and welfare — reflect that combination.
Scholarship and teaching
His work spans Quranic studies, Hadith and Islamic jurisprudence, alongside a long teaching career and regular preaching. He continues to teach at the institute rather than only administer it.
Founding the institute
Al-Irshad Islamic Institute grew out of local demand: families wanted structured Islamic education for their children that did not stop at rote memorisation, and young people wanted guidance on character and responsibility. What began as classes has become a programme of teaching, mentoring and welfare work serving the surrounding community.
This biography is a summary. A fuller account of Dr. Bilal’s academic journey, research and publications will be added here — if you are from the institute and can supply those details, we will publish them.
