Our founder
Professor Dr. Allama Muhammad Bilal
An Islamic scholar, researcher, educator, preacher and spiritual mentor, Dr. Bilal founded Al-Irshad Islamic Institute to bring together the things he had spent his career on separately: rigorous Islamic scholarship, the patient work of teaching children and young people, and direct service to families in need.
What began as local classes has grown into a programme of teaching, mentoring and welfare work serving the surrounding community — and he continues to teach at the institute rather than only administer it.
