Where Your Donation Goes
We think a donor is entitled to know what happens to their money before they give it, not after. This page sets out where donations go and how we account for them.
The five things donations pay for
1. Teaching
Salaries for teachers, so classes run reliably instead of stopping when funds run short. This is the largest and least glamorous cost, and the one most often underfunded.
2. Students who cannot pay
Fees, boarding, books and materials for students whose families cannot meet the cost. Students are selected on need and commitment.
3. Welfare and relief
Food and ration support, help with school and medical costs, and emergency assistance when flooding displaces families in our district.
4. Facilities
Classrooms, a library and clean facilities, so the number of students we can teach is not capped by the building. This is the Campus Development Project.
5. Running the institute
Utilities, maintenance and the administration required to keep the above working.
How we account for it
- Every donation is verified by hand against the bank or mobile wallet statement before it counts towards any figure published on this website. Nothing here is an estimate or a projection.
- Campaign totals are calculated, not typed. The amount shown against a campaign is the sum of its verified donations. Nobody can enter a number by hand.
- Zakat is kept separate and applied only to Zakat-eligible use. See our Zakat policy.
- Designated gifts stay designated. If you choose a purpose, that is where it goes. If a campaign is already funded we will contact you before applying your gift elsewhere.
What we cannot yet show you
We would rather say this plainly than leave you guessing: we have not yet published audited annual accounts on this website. Our transparency page is where those documents will appear, and it is empty today. If that matters to you before giving — and it reasonably might — ask us and we will send you what we have.
Questions we are happy to answer
How many students are enrolled. What a teacher is paid. What a food package contains and what it costs. Who decides which students are sponsored. Ask, and we will tell you.
Your support keeps this work going
Every contribution funds teaching, student support and welfare for families who need it. We verify and publish where the money goes.
